The Conference of the Polish Chamber of Electronic Communication is behind us!
03-06-2022The National Conference of Electronic Communication Operators (PIKE) took place on May 23-24 in Zakopane. This year, once again, we had the honour to be the Partner for this event. During the meeting, the leaders of the telecommunications industry, including Piotr Wieczorkiewicz, Member of the Management Board for Operations at NEXERA, talked about the opportunities and challenges currently faced by wholesale operators and the possibilities created by the model of open fibre networks in Poland.
The agenda of this year's meeting was dominated by the future of the broadband market, in the context of optimizing cooperation with the business environment and regulators. The conference was attended by distinguished guests - representatives of operators, television broadcasters, audiovisual content providers, and producers, as well as representatives of regulatory institutions, the parliament, and the government.
Piotr Wieczorkiewicz, Member of the Board for Operations at NEXERA, together with Janusz Kosiński - Member of the Digitization Council at the Chancellery of the Prime Minister, Maciej Nowohoński - Member of the Board for Wholesale and Real Estate Sales at Orange Polska, Tomasz Zmyślny - Strategy Director at Fiberhost and Patrycja Gołos - Vice President of the Management Board of PIKE discussed the future of the industry during a panel dedicated to open fibre networks.
- Providing access to universal and reliable Internet infrastructure to all residents of the country is the foundation of effective digital transformation. The model of open fibre-optic networks is currently one of the best and most effective ways to introduce modern services in areas where there is no access to broadband Internet or access to it is limited - summarized Piotr Wieczorkiewicz.
The Polish National Conference of the Electronic Communication Operators PIKE is one of the key events in the television and telecommunications industry in Central and Eastern Europe. The event is organised by the Polish Chamber of Electronic Communication and the PIKSEL Foundation.
