As of 1st of March, all the energy used by NEXERA to provide services on its network is sustainable. This means that residents of the NEXERA Regions will benefit from energy-neutral internet access technology.

The more than eight hundred energy points used by NEXERA are supplied with environmentally friendly electricity generated with an annual consumption of 2 GWh. Consequently, all households, schools, administrative units, and business locations that are within range of our network benefit from the internet powered by renewable energy.

• Environmental policy is a priority for us. We are committed to providing residents of the NEXERA Regions access to all possibilities that the digital world has to offer, including the use of energy-neutral internet technology. Due to the measures we have taken, our network is already 100 percent renewable. This shows how deeply we care for the environment, energy efficiency, and climate protection - says Wojtek Całka, Director of Operations at NEXERA.

According to the #RegionyNEXERY2021 Report, more than half of the respondents (55%) assess their involvement in environmental issues by at least 7 points on a scale from 1 to 10. Residents of the NEXERA Regions care about choosing solutions, products, and services that have a positive impact on the environment throughout their everyday lives. NEXERA's fibre optic network is energy-neutral, has higher capacity, will last longer, and the process of its construction and operation is less invasive to the environment.

At the end of March, the government approved an outline to update the Polish Energy Policy. It assumes, among other things, that by 2040 around half of the electricity production will come from renewable sources.
