NEXERA acquires the fibre-optic infrastructure of IT Partners Telco
09-07-2021We are consistently extending our broadband network. In June, we purchased fibre-optic infrastructure from IT Partners Telco, operating locally under the Navu brand. The acquired network consists of more than 5,000 households located in Sandomierz.
Within the range of our infrastructure will be households previously served by Navu (the IT Partners Telco brand). The investment is part of our consistently implemented acquisition strategy while expanding the coverage in Sandomierz with the Rokitek and Huta settlements. The contract was signed in mid-June and this is the fourth such NEXERA transaction.
“The purchase of the Navu network from a locally operated, proven partner is another such investment made by NEXERA. As a result of the acquisition, we have more households in the Świętokrzyski region. The purchase and integration of existing fibre-optic infrastructure is, in addition to its own investments, a key element in the construction of the NEXERA access network, which will eventually reach over 1 million households. The model of operation we have developed is unique at a national level, as it gives all the facilities in the range of our infrastructure unprecedented freedom of choice among the various offers of many suppliers,” said Jacek Wiśniewski, President of the Nexera Management Board.
The transaction was executed in a mutually beneficial infrastructure acquisition model. In the near future, we will be working to integrate the acquired fibre-optic network so that it can be made available in the wholesale model to all interested retail operators. This will give residents access to a much wider range of telecommunications services offered by many operators. The contract was signed on 17 June, and now with IT Partners Telco we are taking steps to efficiently integrate the network.
