13-08-2020

NEXERA, the first wholesale telecommunications carrier in Poland, has become a new member of the Polish Chamber of Information Technology and Telecommunications. Together with other associated companies from the ICT sector, it will actively participate in the process of digital development of Poland.

In May this year, NEXERA became a legal member of the Council of the Polish Chamber of Information Technology and Telecommunications by the decision of this organization that brings together representatives of the ICT industry operating in Poland. The aim of the association is primarily to create favourable conditions for the development of the digital state and the information and communication industry.

- Membership in the Polish Chamber of Information Technology and Telecommunications allows for closer cooperation with other market participants who, like us, take an active part in the process of digitization of Poland. We are glad that we will be able to operate under a common banner, which will allow for better and more efficient creation of conditions for the development of the e-state. As a fibre optic network carrier, we are well aware of the fact that cooperation with other representatives of the ICT industry is going to bring many benefits, not only to us, i.e. companies associated with the Chamber, but also to the the state and its citizens - says Jacek Wiśniewski, President of the NEXERA Management Board.

- We warmly welcome Nexera among the members of the Chamber. We believe that as a company with extensive experience in the ICT market, it will support our initiatives promoting information progress. Today we are faced with a great challenge resulting from changes in the market caused by the spread of coronavirus. The involvement of another, significant representative of the ICT sector in the activities of PIIT will allow us to react even faster to problems that may arise during the digital transformation of Poland - says Andrzej Dulka, President of the Polish Chamber of Information Technology and Telecommunications.

The main tasks of the Chamber include issuing opinions on legal acts, standpoints of industry on important matters relating to the ICT business, representing the interests of Polish companies in the European arena, as well as initiating projects involving public administration and its own ventures. PIIT uses the knowledge and experience of companies from the information and communication sector and a close cooperation among industry representatives increases the chance for the development of Poland's digital potential.
